I designed the studioware panel suite to aid a Cakewalk user in visualizing and managing the automation of a 168RC. The panels work only from within a Cakewalk sequencer that supports studioware. Therefore I can only speak from my experience with that product line.

The Korg does indeed work very well automated by an external sequencer.  If you use a Cakewalk product that supports studioware,  the faders of my panels do 'fly'.

By no means is this the only solution.  I should think you would have no problem using the Korg with just about any MIDI sequencer program.
