Cakewalk is one of the most solid audio recording programs presently available for the PC. It also have the biggest way of  suppot other software would dream for: Tha Beginers, Audio, General, and Coffehouse neusgroups. Other software vendors'  support is almost unexistent or very hard to reach. I agree that  the toolbox is a waste of money, but, the software is great. The Cakewalk people is also very responsive to user's needs and incorporate them in the newest versions. Pay a visit to the NGs,  gravitate over them for a couple weeks, and you will know what I am talking about.
